National Convention: The Next Frontier of Agri-Business & Technology

3rd & 4th September 2012, Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar

 The main convention hall at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition center was abuzz with people much before the inaugural time of National Convention: The Next Frontier of Agri-Business & Technology. Dignitaries, Farmers, Media were present for the first of its kind event promoting agriculture in the state of Gujarat. The Event was collaboration on top 7 agricultural countries including Israel and USA. It also involved more than 2000 thousand farmers representing 11 states of the country.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Dilip Sanghani Min of Agriculture Govt. of Gujarat., he stressed on the efforts put in by the state Govt. towards making Gujarat the top agricultural produce of the country. The event was also attended by H.E. Orna Sagi Counsel General to India from Israel, updating us with various initiatives the Israel Govt. and the Govt. of Gujarat were involved towards agricultural development.

Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi in his speech, laid emphasis on the steps his Govt. has taken towards the development of Agricultural and farmers in his state. He also informed that his Govt. is bound to provide latest techniques and methods to farmers, with planning of strategic tie-ups with Israel. Mr. Modi also assured that and event of international standards will be organized in the state of Gujarat every three years to assists the farmers from the entire nation to attain the latest of technology and expertise from the international arena.

Day 1: Plenary I: 1400-1525hrs: “Hi-tech Agriculture, Mechanized Farming & Productivity Enhancement”.

Day 1: Plenary I: 1545-1730hrs: “Sharing of Best Practices & Success Stories”.

Day 2: Plenary II: 1000-1125hrs: “Role of Biotechnology, IT & Seeds in Agriculture”.

Day 2: Plenary II: 1145-1300hrs: “Value Addition in Agri, Agri-processing and Promoting Export”.

Day 2: Plenary II: 1400-1540hrs: “Case Study on Israel”.

Day 2: Plenary II: 1600-1700hrs: “Valedictory Session”.
